That purpose became especially clear watching his partner, Maia, make her own drinks with his products. For years, cocktails had been something he was relied upon to make. Seeing her excitement as she built delicious, balanced cocktails herself helped define the deeper mission: remove the barrier to entry without lowering the standard of the drink.
